Finalizing ideas and scheduling before we start to shoot our film

Today our group met up and finalized what Props were needed, The locations, The sounds and equipment needed for the film.

On my storyboard I have planned out what camera angle each scene will be shot.

Were next meeting up Tuesday to meet the actor that our director has found to run him over the script and how we would like it to be.

Hayley is writing up our risk assessment forms so we can start shooting this week. we have decide what days were recording and what were recording each day.

Story board for Moving images (THE SCRIPT)

here is a quick storyboard I've drew up using stick men to plan out how each scene will be shot. 

for the scenes what aren't clear just bay the pictures i have wrote a description to how it will be.

• From shot 3 to 4 the camera is going to pan from were it shows that he is no longer at the computer desk to were you see the fire exit shutting.
• At shot 6 I want the camera to interpretrate how he is feeling and moving.
• At shot 3 on the second day to give the affect of the exit looking very far away the camera will be placed as far from the door as possible and being zoomed in and out then when it gets edited add a blur to make a more dramatic affect.
• Shot 1 day 3 I was thinking keeping the camera at a distance so the viewer carnt see what he's copying at the photocopier then slowing zooming in as he drops some papers to then go onto shot 2 from an eye view.

• Shot 2 day 4 this scene should be shot from a hiden angle to tray and show an affect that he is being watched.
• Shot 2 and 3 of day 5 are were that he checks the paper to see if theyve printed the story and it shows how parioned he is looking around and he thinks he is being fallowed thats what leads to him running off in the later shots.

In shots 1 you find out that he's dead but there's a twist to it, The twist is that the government was after him and in order to get away from them he had to fake his own death that's why in shot 2 when the reader puts down the news paper it zooms over his/ her shoulder so you can just catch a glimpse of Chriss.

story
the story is of a sciencetist who comes across files that indecate that the goverment are selling weapons and chemical explosions to the taliban.

chriss the main characters has to get the documents out of the building and send them to the press, the story shows how through the film he starts to get paraniod and thinks that the goverment are trying to kill him.


my take of it......
this film should be very much like a conspiracy film.

Research and Ideas

After watching this i have decided on what camera angles i would like to be in this film they are;

• Medium & close up shots.
• Tracking shot. This may be quite hard due to not having the right equipment so we would have to do it as a walking shot trying to keep the camera as still as possible.

At around 8 seconds through this trailer is how i would like the chase scene in our film to look like with changing camera angles, And how  it goes into slow motion were he jumps over a fence because it looks dramatic.

this is the sort of feeling i want to bring to our film.

Also another idea for when it gets to shooting the bus station scenes when Chriss goes to place the holdall into the locker we could have a shot from inside the locker showing from a different angle.

Lighting 

Todays meeting

Today me Charlie and Hayley met up after Jools lecture and discussed our idea's. we have came to a dissection to stick with my plot but add a twist at the end instead off Chriss dying he fakes his own death in order to escape the government.

After we left Hayley fount a building called biocity what is a science lab. So hopefully they will let us film a few scenes in their if we are aloud this will make the film look a lot more realistic.

Moving images update

We have decided to call our film group Move on. In today lesson we couldn't decide who wanted to be the director so I volunteered.  I wasn't to sure what a director fully did  but after doing a bit of research I have found that the directors role is to:

• decide how the film should look.
• Genre and Audience its targeted at.
• Camera Angles and  Lens effects.
• Set design.
• Turning the script into a sequence of shots.

So in today's lesson I broke down the script using Celtx so we can start planning more in-depth.

• There are 5 characters that we need to find.
• 7 locations needed ( We have already started discussing various locations and have came up with a few places.)
• We will also need various props and costumes.

Our script hasn't got an in-depth plot so far just that the character has something that the government does not want anyone to know about. So I mentioned the idea of him stumbling across some secret documents that the governments selling weapons and chemical bombs to the Taliban.

So as a group we have set up TO DO List over the weekend we each have to think of an interesting plot for the film, and also find various locations we could use. After Jools lecture on Monday we are going to meet up and discuss our ideas then hopefully structure the how and were we will be shooting this film.

First day of Moving Images

Today was the first day of our dp2 seminar, As im in group three were starting off doing moving images we was split into groups of five and in our groups we was handed a script wrote by Jools what we have to plan and shoot the script is called SHIFT. We each discussed and came to a conclusion what roles we will be taking.

I choose to be the editor, As the editor it is my job to take all the film footage shot and piece it together to create the final film. Its not the most important role in this tasks but its one of the key ones because if the footage is excellent, if the editing was made poorly it could affect the films final outcome.

What i've been upto

Since we broke up for christmas i havent posted anything so think i should put something up show that i havent just been out partying.

why did i create this?

For one i like the car and i needed to add to my portfolio so i thought i would create a bit of advertisement. I wanted to make the effect that the car being advertised is eco friendly, I wanted to add a little character doing something around the exhaust and put afew wildlife around the car. but i found it hard finding a character what worked with the picture so i just kept it simple.
